I wouldn't read too much into the absence of his wedding ring during his appearances on Ellen and Tavis Smiley. We know that they're currently filming season 7 of 'House' so he had probably been whisked away from the set to do these shows. As he's not wearing the ring on 'House', he's probably storing it at some safe place, i.e. safer than, say, his dressing room. That better be the reason! I want these two to last - and not pull a Stephen Fry and split up only to date a 25-year-old.

You're right, I am not sure when they recorded Ellen and Tavis, but I am very sure it was during a short break or after filming . And he is still flying to London.

(And yes, the Stephen Fry Story was a "little bit" shocking )

I hadn't heard of this Stephen Fry story. So he's not with his long time partner any more? Can someone fill me in or provide a link?
