Jennifer Marie Morrison (* 12. April 1979 in Chicago, Illinois) ist eine US-amerikanische Schauspielerin und ehemaliges Kindermodel.

Bereits als Kind modelte sie und trat in Werbespots auf. Größere Aufmerksamkeit erhielt sie erstmals im Alter von 10 Jahren, als sie neben dem populären Basketballspieler Michael Jordan auf dem Cover der Sports Illustrated for Kids zu sehen war.

1994 gab sie ihr Filmdebüt neben Richard Gere und Sharon Stone in Begegnungen. Es folgten Auftritte in der Komödie Das Wunder von Manhattan und den Horrorfilmen Echoes – Stimmen aus der Zwischenwelt und Düstere Legenden 2. Parallel zu ihrer Tätigkeit als Schauspielerin schaffte sie ihr Studium in Englisch und Theaterwissenschaft an der Loyola University Chicago in nur 3 Jahren. Den Sommer des Jahres 2000 verbrachte sie mit einer Ausbildung bei der legendären Steppenwolf Theatre Company in Chicago.

Der Durchbruch als Schauspielerin gelang ihr durch die Serie Dr. House, in der sie seit 2004 die Rolle der Dr. Allison Cameron spielt. 2005 war sie neben Brad Pitt und Angelina Jolie in Mr. & Mrs. Smith zu sehen.

Von Dezember 2006 bis August 2007 war sie mit ihrem Schauspielerkollegen Jesse Spencer verlobt.

Im Computerspiel Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars hat sie die Rolle von Lt. Kirce James übernommen. Im elften Star-Trek-Film, welcher im Mai 2009 in die Kinos kam, verkörpert sie in der Rolle der Winona Kirk die Mutter von Captain James T. Kirk.

Ich finds auch sehr schade das sie nicht mehr dabei,
aber ich traue den Machern von House kein Stück mehr. Sie steht weiter auf der Gehaltsliste und es ist nicht raus ob sie nochmal zurück kommt.
Denn dieser Satz sagt doch alles:

"You're done with House?" and Jen replied: "I am, as far as I know, yes."

Ich gebe die Hoffnung nicht auf. Gerade weil es doch sehr publik war.

'House' exclusive: Jennifer Morrison speaks out about departure

It’s fitting that Jennifer Morrison’s first comments concerning her departure from House would come on the same night that Cameron bid adieu to Princeton-Plainsboro.

Appearing at the Star Trek DVD launch party in Hollywood this evening, Morrison confessed to EW.com that even she was a little puzzled by her sudden exit. “I find the entire situation sort of confusing,” she said.

Although House execs David Shore and Katie Jacobs have said they are leaving the door open for Cameron to resurface at some point, Morrison said she had no news to share on that front. In fact, she had very little information to share at all, other than the fact that she is being paid for the remainder of the season. “I don’t know anything about anything,” she said. “That’s the thing. Everyone expects me to have an answer and there’s no answer to have because there’s… no answer.”

Emotionally speaking, Morrison said she hasn’t “packed [Cameron] away” yet.

“I love our writers,” she added. “I think David Shore is incredibly talented. All of the characters he’s created I’ve loved. I think he’s very committed to keeping the characters’ stories authentic.”

Asked whether she felt her own storyline felt authentic, Morrison said, “I’m not writing the show but I do think that [David] is an authentic writer.”

Morrison said she’s been comforted by the enormous outpouring of support from fans in the wake of her House dismissal. “I love the fans,” she enthused. “Honestly, I have to say one of the most amazing things that’s come out of this job is how incredible the fans have been and how supportive they’ve been. I never could have imagined asking for a more amazing group of people and I’m so thankful for their support.”

Once a class act, always a class act.

'House' alum news: Jennifer Morrison heads to Broadway!

Jennifer Morrison is Broadway-bound.

A month after checking out of House, the actress has joined the forthcoming revival of William Gibson’s The Miracle Worker in the role of Helen Keller’s mother, Kate.
The play focuses on the relationship between a young Helen (played here by Abigail Breslin) and the teacher (In Treatment’s Alison Pill) who taught her to communicate.
Matthew Modine rounds out the all-star revival.

Morrison’s participation all but rules out a return to House later this season since Miracle Worker begins previews in February and runs at least through the spring.

Playbill.com was invited backstage for an exclusive look at actress Jennifer Morrison's transformation into her character Kate Keller, mother to Helen, in the Broadway revival of The Miracle Worker.

The star makes her Broadway debut in the new Kate Whoriskey staging of the William Gibson play. Performances run at the Circle in the Square Theatre.

The cast of The Miracle Worker also features Abigail Breslin, Alison Pill, Matthew Modine, Elizabeth Franz, Tobias Segal, Daniel Oreskes, Michael Cummings, Simone Joy Jones, Yvette Ganier and Lance Chantiles-Wertz.

Morrison is known for her turn as Dr. Allison Cameron on Fox's drama "House M.D." She has also appeared in the films "Mr. and Mrs. Smith," "Surviving Christmas," "Flourish" (which she also produced), J.J. Abrams' "Star Trek," the Lifetime feature "The Murder of Princess Diana" and the upcoming film "Warrior."

'Miracle Worker' to close on Broadway after short run

The Broadway revival of The Miracle Worker will close April 4 after a disappointing run of less than two months and a loss of more than $2.5 million.

The production stars Abigail Breslin as Helen Keller and Alison Pill as Annie Sullivan, the determined young woman who teaches the deaf and blind Helen how to communicate.

Producer David Richenthal said Sunday that he was saddened by the play's short engagement but added that the opportunity "to share this powerful story with a new generation of theatergoers has been remarkable."

The production will have played 21 previews and 38 regular performances at Circle in the Square Theatre. The play by William Gibson originally was on Broadway in 1959 with Patty Duke as Helen and Anne Bancroft as Annie.

Soon, Jennifer Morrison may not just be paying How I Met Your Mother a house call, she may be calling the hitcom home.

Sources confirm to me exclusively that the House grad is among a handful of actresses in the running to play a major new love interest for Ted.

How major? Well, I don’t know if she’s the mother we’ve been waiting to meet. However, I do know that the character—a quick-witted, rabble-rousing activist who initially clashes with Ted over the planned demolition of a historic New York hotel—will appear in as many as 13 episodes this season.

Other names in the mix include Minka Kelly and Jacinda Barrett.

If Morrison doesn’t get the part? At least we can look forward to seeing her on NBC’s new action-drama, Chase; she just shot an episode opposite her real-life boyfriend, Amaury Nolasco.
